My husband has been trying to find his daughter over the last 30 years. He has been reluctant to interfere in her life since the divorce was quite messy and he was not coping with it well. He felt he would do less damage to put her child support money in a savings ear marked for her at age 18 and stay out of her life. He doesn't even know if she got the money. Since our marriage he had 3 step children he helped raise who love him and call him Dad, but I know he feels and empty place for his daughter Jennifer. He held a grudge for the doctor whom his wife had an affair with for years until I made him go speak with the man when we were in his hometown for my husband's class reunion. He found out that his wife had divorced this guy and married a car dealer and may have had even another marriage. So we have no idea where his daughter ended up or what her name is now and all searches I have made have been dead ends.
Have you, in your site research, found any groups that link parents to adult children they cannot find? We are about to retire to another country and I think it important for Jerome to at least know something about his daughter and see if she is also wishing to know him. Or do you know of a reliable group that tracks down missing children?
