Dear Supporter,
As you know, the Parental Rights Amendment was introduced into the U.S. Congress on Wednesday, March 31, 2009.
I am writing to invite you to join Michael Farris on
Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 9:00 p.m. ET for a briefing on H.J. Res 42
and the effort to pass the Parental Rights Amendment, followed by a
time for questions and answers.
Representative Pete Hoekstra, the sponsor of H.J. Res. 42, is
scheduled to participate in this session as well. Since this “e-vent”
is online, you can join us from the comfort of your own home or office.
All you need is a computer with speakers and a minimum internet
connection speed of 56K. The next step is to register online. Once
you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email with a link and instructions
for logging in to the e-vent.
This “e-vent” is being offered first to you as a state
representative or grassroots participant. Space is limited and we want
you to have priority in getting a seat. After April 29, registration
will be opened up to ParentalRights.org’s email list—so don’t wait!
This webinar is the first of a new program for
ParentalRights.org, in partnership with the Home School Legal Defense
Association (designed to equip homeschoolers and provide legal
defense). Through it, we will be hosting regular online e-vents for our
members. The size of the audience is limited, and webinars will be
interactive—participants will be able to ask questions of the
speaker(s).
We believe that this service will bless our members, and we
intend to use it as we do all of our services—to support your important
work in your state.
The WebEx service enables you and others in your state to
“meet” online with other ParentalRights.org representatives to discuss
legislation or other issues.
This new tool enables us to gather informally, from the
comfort of our own homes, throughout the year whenever there are issues
or topics of concern.
We’re excited about the opportunities this tool will provide and we hope you can join us for this first event on May 6.
Protecting Children by Empowering Parents,
Rebekah Pizana

P.S. We would love to receive topic suggestion from you. And
if you have any other ideas for ways that we can bless your state
through this program, please let us know! You can contact us at:
