Hello Albert,
For
the past 10 years I've been working on Forced Absence, a documentary
and conducting research into the problems faced by non-custodial
parents who've gone through divorce, including unfair custody
arrangements, exorbitant child support, and false allegations of abuse.
This documentary is the story of loving parents who have had to go
through financial and emotional hell just to stay involved in their
children's lives. It is the story of uneven justice dispensed by
corrupt family courts.
The goals of this film are:
* to focus attention on the corrupt family court system
* to stop the mental anguish to which children of non-custodial parents are subjected,
* to force a change in the laws that help one parent kick the other out of their children's lives
* to give people who want to change the system a way to do so
* to raise money for organizations representing the interests of non-custodial parents
To
this end, all non-custodial parents and organizations representing
their interests are invited to benefit from the fundraising efforts
that this film presents. If you are interested in this, **please get
in touch with us over the next 10 days** so that we can talk about how
you can see some of the proceeds of the film.
To
focus the attention of the public on the plight of non-custodial
parents and change the system once and for all, each of us need to work
hand in hand -- we could really use your help! Here are some things
you can do:
2. Write a blog post about the issues in the film, embed the YouTube trailer, and link to the Facebook page.
It
has taken more than 10 years for this film to get made, mainly because
there were some in the industry who did everything they could to keep
the message of this film from coming out. Let's work together to get
these issues front and center.
Thanks,
Pius
